Action Painting

(Negli occhi dello sciamano, Hernàn Huarache Mamani)

The Action Painting, in which many might mistakenly identify abstract expressionism (one of the fathers was certainly Kandinsky), is a painting technique in which color is dripped spontaneously, is started or precipitated onto the canvas or other support, making the work a unique and unrepeatable physical act. Dare I even say that '"art event" consists precisely in the act, which will lead to the painting, which is "only" the end result.

By using this technique to study the opera gives way to an instinctive and primitive way of painting. It 'a painting immediate, free, spontaneous, in whom the whole body is involved in the making of the artist, whose execution is mostly assigned to the gesture of the arm. It is the expression of a mood, an outbreak of an energy boost, the explosion of an inner impulse that isn't expressed according to a predetermined plan, but it follows almost automatically an uncontrollable impulse of deep (with obvious references to Dadaism Expressionism, but also to Surrealism).
The first to speak of Action Painting was the American critic Harold Rosenberg in 1952, in his article ("At one point the painting appeared as an arena in which to act").
The style of Action Painting soon became widespread in the forties and the seventies of last century, involving both American and European artists (Hartung, de Kooning, Rothko, Congdon, Gorky, Guston, Scanavino and many others).

The most representative exponent of this "way of painting" was definitely Jackson Pollock, American painter, which this year marks the centenary of his birth.
Great influence on Pollock, in the development of this technique (and of course the Freudian theory and its frequent visits with a psychiatrist, Jungian who showed his drawings), were the Native Americans and their shamanic painting, through which the man of medicine derived interpretations and omens of the gods.
The spirit speaks through the body of a man and his gestures, as he travels in different dimensions and dropping to the ground its colored sands.
The picture thus obtained is also an object of power in shamanism, in fact, we consider all objects of art as objects of power as they contain energy that is reflected towards the people who watch them. The spirits suggest the colors and strokes of the painting that will act for the benefit of those who will be the owner.

And surely the power of artistic expression is to boost its capacity to regenerate physical and mental, to bring out their potential, lead to better know ourselves in order to achieve even greater prosperity.
It's necessary to rediscover the colors that are in us, paint with the soul, in connection with the Source. It's necessary to explore new possibilities, and recover our energy to flow through forms and colors that we "talk" about something that needs to see the light, to be released.
The painting takes shape little by little, without judgment, far from pre-packaged concepts, with love, brings emotions, the colors vibrate and will always continue to say something new, and perhaps forever. It's necessary to be able to immerse themselves in a part of this color and feed the white canvas that calls this color. Will the painting itself, which then tells us what he wants! So the Spirit has discovered the body through which can communicate.

"The language of the heart is something that few men who live in city grow, why not make yourself be guided by feelings. However, using the very language of the head, they are cold. The city man is always eager to learn new things, filling his head with many concepts that run the vacuum in his mind. they do swell of vanity and pride, because you think you know everything. Not really they know anything. Their brain is a tangled nest of thoughts mixed with fears, and in this way the head gets hot and the body is deranged. Still listening to the brain, they forget the heart, stops him and eventually his heart becomes silent. And this is not the only part of the body to suffer, but the whole organism. The city men away from their alliance with the Earth, so also themselves. "
"It's necessary to know the natural laws that allow you to understand the earth and the principles that redirect his life. Only by knowing these principles you can understand the message of nature that is found in water, wind, into the light, minerals, plants, in animals and in man himself. It's the only way you can understand the reasons why our people feel and act. Knowing these principles, you will throw open the gates of wisdom. "

(In the eyes of the shaman, Hernàn Huarache Mamani)

In the language of the heart is sealed and deposited the true essence of man, who finds his own nature, its simplicity and spontaneity, freed from the bondage of time and habits that corrupted it. So the body finds the spirit and the spirit has a body refound.

Manifesto del Movimento Artistico del "Dinamismo Cosmico"

Manifesto del
Movimento Artistico del
"Dinamismo Cosmico"

The Manifesto of The Artistic Movement
"The Cosmic Dynamism"

Written by Giosuè Allegrini and Enzo Dente (Founder of the Movement)

The Art must make visible what is hidden from human perception shamelessly: the "Cosmos" space-time-mind which surrounds and permeates us both, as it turns incessantly controlled by "dynamic laws" based on the universal power of endless conflicts that constitute the eternal prime mover, the genesis of the ever-changing. The human being often does not understand that reality and fantasy are constantly to blend with each other by virtue of this cosmic projection, since the whirlwind of daily events brings the imaginative visions of space to be pureed in a glowing kaleidoscope which inebriates the mind as the foaming waves of a stormy sea.

The gradual break free from any reference to quota and prejudicial allows the Artist to insinuate itself deeply into the interior dimensions of the community, often metabolized by the dominantand globalized uniformity until it reaches the remote borders of the dynamical alphabets and evocative abstraction and derive from there, which a modern demiurge, the laws of perpetual becoming.

The pictorial survey in order to grasp this hidden goal must necessarily follow a path defined by continuous alchemical transmutations.
It is therefore vital, for the Artist, concentrate his research in a systematic manner, investigating the relationships lapse-dynamic-chromatic resulting from the continuous mutations of the trinomial time-line-color.

In this trans-formal zone it's possible to discover the infinite fluctuations of a conceptual penta-dimensional substrate (that is readable, in fact, across th chrono-mental-space coordinates) perpetually transient.
Working then in the cosmic mixture of the above combinations until we can reach an absolute harmony because there we can arise the dynamic essence of the ineluctable changes.
There must therefore never yield to the sirens of indulgence, of the embellishment, to the reduction, it is necessary to remove the peel of contingent forms and proceed as an ubiquitous eye on the road of endless envelopes that lead to the abode of the cosmic breath.

Keystone is the infinite tension, which coagulated into splashes of color materic, must be able to expand and explode in colorful splashes and large scratches that cut and vibrate the air.

The objects and shapes represented in the artwork, painting or sculpture that can be repeated but never serial so because this would lead to the monotony of representation, which would coincide with the death of the psyche in labor and space-time universe with it correlated.

The use of dissimilar and contrasting each other materials by intervening to dematerialize the painting, leads to a mental scanning focus of these cognitive investigations. The dynamics of the cosmic vision is thus achieved by the organic and vibrant rhythm of the trinomi sign-color-object that traces the universal movement, leaning in space-time areas where the empty and the full follows one another like clouds, soaring in the sky.

The artist must, ultimately, to reach chronological exaltation of the chromatic space and form modulating them with renewed plasticity in order to display the two-dimensional support, or sculptural, the experience of dynamic movement and rhythm, timbre and harmony, of entropic soul of the Cosmos.

Arte Italiana Contemporanea. Francesco de Marco: La Mia Pittura

Arte Italiana Contemporanea.
Francesco de Marco: La Mia Pittura

Premessa:

"Guendalina: Ricordi di Guerra" (Gwendolyn: Mmories of War)

Leggo, studio, osservo, contemplo.

Francesco de Marco: My Painting.

Introduction.

"Fiori e Farfalle" (Flowers & Butterflies) - olio su tela cm.50x50
(2010) - Private Collection
"For a work of art, to be truly immortal, it is necessary to come out completely from the confines of the human: the common sense and the logic could damage it. In this way the work of art will approach to the dream and to the child mentality. The deep opera will be pushed by the artist in the most recondite depth of his own being: there I don't reach the whispering streams, birdsong, or the rustle of leaves. What I hear is nothing, there are only my eyes: they see, if they are opened, and see still more if they are closed.
All we care, above all, is to rid the art of what it contains about the known till now: every idea, every symbol must be set apart.
We need to have a great confidence in ourselves: it is necessary that the revelation we have of a work of art, that the conception of a painting depicting such a thing without no meaning in itself, no subject, no significance from the point of view of human logic, it is necessary, I say, that such a revelation or conception must be so strong in us, to procure us such a great joy or a pain so great that we will feel obliged to paint driven by a force greater than that which pushes a hungry like a dog to bite a piece of bread that falls into the jaws " (Giorgio de Chirico, 1914)

My Painting

Pictograms, so Angelo Calabrese has defined my painting. I share this vision so wide-ranging, as I'm reluctant to see me pigeonholed into one cultural trend. I define my painting an intimate discussion of signs, color, which stops and starts, through twists and whirls in continuous communication with whom of them will receive it. It’s a communication that goes from one job to another, until I feel I have exhausted, at least temporarily, what I meant.

"Fiori per Te" (Flowers for you) - olio su tela cm. 50x50 (2010)

Then I direct my attention beyond, beyond the mountains, where I imagine there might be another valley and a new horizon to explore. And there I am moved to go with childish fervour and passion for discovery. But as soon as I reach, almost I don’t care. I don’t stop a lot more of what I have just reached. I feel the need to go further, to measure myself with other things, or maybe to resume some talks those I thought concluded previously, and instead they return to me under a different light, which makes me see them under others aspects.

I read, study, observe and contemplate. I try to tell and tell me differently, in another unit of time in a different space. Sometimes I tend to not repeat the same painting process, the language or the style used once upon a time, although intimately I'm bringing it back the track, but with other colours, with a different rhythm.
This is why I love improvisation, the jazz music. There is a basic idea a melody and an harmony on which are interweaving the musical colors of the improvisation. I force myself to be able to walk on the edge of my creation with the same emotional tension, like an acrobat on the wire, who seeks the balance without falling.

The moment is different in each of my works. My creativity comes from my background and the painting has become my life. I could also paint forever, if life were eternal. But I paint always with more urgent: in fact every now and then, while I paint I wonder: "where I could arrive?", "I'll have time to finish my work?". Well!
And then, what it means to "finish a work"? A lot of things: certainly not to prevail the artwork, but rather be able to effectively rip to oblivion some moments of life with all their emotions and send them to other people.
